Laboratories & Practical Learning

Practical demonstration and observation form an essential part of the curriculum at BRD Public School. Our laboratories are set up to bridge classroom theory with hands-on practice under proper teacher supervision and clear safety protocols.

1. Composite Science Laboratory

The composite science lab is equipped to support practical coursework in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology up to secondary school standards:

  • Physics Section: Working models, prisms, lenses, circuit boards, spring balances, and measuring instruments to verify physical laws and mechanics principles.

  • Chemistry Section: Quality glassware (test tubes, beakers, flasks), reagent sets, basic chemical solutions, and titration setups for fundamental reactions and chemical analysis.

  • Biology Section: Compound microscopes, permanent specimen slides, three-dimensional biological models (human anatomy, plant structures), and botanical charts for practical life-science observations.

  • Safety Protocols: Fire extinguishers, wash basins, acid-neutralizing charts, and standard first-aid kits are kept accessible at all times.

2. Computer & ICT Laboratory

The computer lab introduces students to digital literacy, keyboard proficiency, and essential computing skills:

  • Infrastructure: Dedicated workstations connected via a high-speed local network with regular system maintenance.

  • Curriculum Focus: Basic typing, document formatting, spreadsheet management, presentation tools, and age-appropriate introductory logic and coding concepts.

  • Supervised Usage: Supervised internet connectivity ensuring student access is restricted to verified educational portals, projects, and research activities.

  • Backup Power: Power backup systems (UPS/Inverter) to avoid disruption during scheduled computer class periods.

3. Mathematics & Activity Lab

An interactive space designed to remove the fear of numbers and make geometric and arithmetic concepts concrete:

  • Geometry kits, fraction boards, abacus units, and measurement tools for spatial understanding.

  • Visual kits for algebraic identities, probability demonstrations, and real-life mathematical problem-solving.
